Hatfield Borough Core Commercial Revitalization

Bursich performed engineering design services, construction consultation, preparation of contract documents, and other related services for the construction of streetscape improvements on Main Street, Broad Street, and Lincoln Avenue in Hatfield Borough, Montgomery County, PA. This project required coordination with PennDOT, affected utilities, and local residents to bring the improvements to the core commercial district residents and businesses. This project included utility relocation from overhead to underground, as well as the construction of curb, sidewalk, decorative lighting, street trees, crosswalks, right-of-way acquisition, and requisite permitting. Consulting services included securing all needed permits, coordinating with several utility companies for relocation of overhead services to underground, preparing projected cost estimates, administration of the contract documents, review and processing all shop drawings, requests for payment, approval of contract change orders, scheduling and daily construction observation, and overall coordination of the construction process.


Fischer's Park Improvements

Fischer's Park Improvements

The award-winning Fischer's Park project for Towamencin Township included design, contract administration, and construction observation for a recreational park, including tot lot, trails, and pavilions. The design also included restroom construction, storm drainage, and landscaping designs. Special emphasis was placed on erosion and sedimentation control and best management practices, including water quality improvements and ground water recharge from the parking area. Phase one of the project involved the construction of a 3,000-foot-long, 10-foot-wide trail constructed of brick unit pavers. Phase two of the project involved the construction of a 3,000-foot-long, 10-foot-wide trail constructed of 2A-modified stone and screenings. The project also included grading adjustments and stormwater facility installations, including piping, headwalls, diversion swales, etc.
